7:30 p.m. The New York Trumpet Ensemble (New York premiere of Charles Wuorinen’s Brass Quintet)

9:00 p.m. Wilmer Wise (chamber music by Ornette Coleman, including “The Sacred Mind of Johnny Dolphin”)


Friday, January 15th
5:00 p.m. Free workshop: Ableton Live User Group co-hosted by FONT Music and Dubspot

6:30 p.m. Opsvik & Jennings plus the Ignite A Noise Trumpet Trio

7:30 p.m. Chicago Underground Duo (celebrating the release of Boca Negra on Thrill Jockey Records)

9:00 p.m. The Low Anthem with special appearance by Dave Douglas


Saturday, January 16th
5:00 p.m. Free workshop: Group improvisation with the York College Blue Notes and special guests

6:00 p.m. Trumpets in Traditional Folk Music: Mr. Tamerman’s Maggot and Sarah Ferholt’s Vevertise

7:30 p.m. Meridian Arts Ensemble with Dave Ballou (music by Mark Appelbaum, Dave Ballou and David Sanford)

9:00 p.m. Open Circuit International Trumpet Ensemble (featuring Taylor Ho Bynum, Jean Luc Capozzo, Franz Hautzinger, Joe McPhee, Itaru Oki and Herb Robertson with Jean-Jacques Avenel and John Betsch)


Thursday, Friday and Saturday night events will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a free workshop followed by an early performance in the Blackbox Theatre and headline performances at 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. on the Main Stage.

Tickets for the opening night benefit concert are $35, which also includes a membership in FONT Music and admission to the pre-concert reception.
